As of the end of last year, the average annual salary of employees at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering was 73 million won, about 10 million won lower than HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (84.7 million won) and Samsung Heavy Industries (83 million won).

After completing the business combination with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Hanwha Ocean has been hiring large-scale workers and improving treatment.

Hanwha Group agreed to pay 300% of its wages to Hanwha Ocean's labor union if it meets its sales target.
