[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] General Motors will move away from the Renaissance Center building, which has spent more than two decades celebrating its new start in 2025.

According to a Reuters report on the 15th (local time), General Motors will relocate its global headquarters to Hudson, a high-rise building in downtown Detroit, a few blocks from the existing building.

General Motors became the only Detroit three automaker to have its headquarters in Motor City. Ford Motor has moved its headquarters to Dearborn, Michigan, and Chrysler's parent company, Stellatis, is also headquartered in Urban Hills, Michigan.

Meanwhile, details of the cost and size of the new building were not shared compared to the current headquarters.
