[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Mobis will invest 50 billion won in Unitus, an integrated affiliate specializing in parts production. It is to increase the production facilities of electric vehicles such as electric vehicle parts.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure on the 22nd, Hyundai Mobis decided to participate in the 50 billion won paid-in capital increase of Unitus at the board meeting held on the 20th.

Unitus is an integrated affiliate specializing in parts production launched by Hyundai Mobis on November 11 last year by integrating suppliers and subcontractors. Currently, it produces various chassis parts, powering parts, airbags, and lamps.

Hyundai Mobis, which has a 100% stake in Unitus, will subscribe to the Unitus paid-in capital increase on the 17th of next month and pay all shares on the same day. All of the investment funds will be used to expand Unitus' electric parts manufacturing facilities.

Hyundai Mobis plans to secure its own business areas such as securing global customers in the future by upgrading production expertise, building its own facilities and strengthening its own sales capabilities.
