[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] According to Business Insider on the 19th (local time), Tesla's production lines at its Texas and Nevada factories were halted due to the global 'IT crisis'. The disruption was caused by error messages displayed on the computer systems at these facilities, leading the company to stop operations on some equipment and send some employees home early.

Sources cited by the media reported that Tesla notified employees with a memo stating that the company was affected by a "Windows host crash" and that "blue screen" errors were appearing on the affected devices. Employees were not informed about when the impacted production lines would resume operation.

One employee mentioned that some lines at the Austin factory were still operational that morning. Tesla did not respond to requests for comment regarding the report.

Earlier, a global IT crisis occurred when security software updates by CrowdStrike caused a conflict with MS Windows, disrupting MS cloud services. This led to widespread interruptions in air travel, broadcasting, telecommunications, and financial services around the world.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, did not directly comment on the impact of the crisis on Tesla but remarked on the situation in a comment on a post by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "This triggered a spasm in the automotive supply chain." Musk also mentioned that they had removed CrowdStrike from all their systems, although he did not specify which of his companies took this action.
