[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, November 2, 2025 — NVIDIA announced a major partnership with the Korean government and four leading companies — Samsung Electronics, SK Group, Hyundai Motor Group, and Naver Cloud — to supply 260,000 of its latest GPUs, an investment valued at up to ₩14 trillion (approximately USD 10 billion).

Through this collaboration, Korea will gain priority access to NVIDIA’s high-performance Blackwell GPUs amid a global shortage, enabling the nation to accelerate its AI infrastructure development and foundation model projects across key industries such as automotive, manufacturing, semiconductors, and telecommunications.

According to industry sources, up to 50,000 GPUs will be allocated for government-led AI initiatives, while Samsung, SK Group, and Hyundai Motor Group will each deploy up to 50,000 units, and Naver Cloud will introduce 60,000 units. NVIDIA noted that with this addition, Korea’s total GPU capacity will expand from 65,000 to more than 300,000 units, positioning the country as a global leader in AI infrastructure.

The GPUs include the company’s most advanced GB200 Grace Blackwell processors, along with a selection of RTX 6000 series models. Based on market estimates of USD 30,000–40,000 per GB200 unit, the total contract value is estimated between ₩10 trillion and ₩14 trillion.

The five partners also plan to leverage NVIDIA’s platforms to build so-called “AI Factories” — next-generation data centers designed to produce intelligence rather than merely store data. These facilities will power the training and deployment of large AI models for sectors ranging from semiconductor design to autonomous mobility.

Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong said, “NVIDIA has long been a visionary in the AI era. Together, we will lead change and accelerate new standards and innovation for the future.”

SK Group will use NVIDIA GPUs for semiconductor R&D and digital twin development, while Hyundai Motor Group plans to establish a Blackwell-powered AI Factory to drive advances in autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, and robotics.

“By partnering with Korea’s industrial and digital leaders, NVIDIA aims to build one of the world’s most powerful AI infrastructures,” the company said in a statement.
