[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] LG Display announced on May 10 that it held its recruitment program, “Technical Talk,” in Los Angeles on May 5–6 as part of efforts to secure top-tier global engineering talent.
The company invited outstanding master’s and Ph.D.-level students in science and engineering from local universities to share its corporate vision and promote its organizational culture.
The event was organized in conjunction with “Display Week,” the world’s largest display industry exhibition hosted by the Society for Information Display (SID), providing LG Display with an opportunity to directly engage with highly qualified candidates in the region.
Through this initiative, LG Display aims to proactively recruit young global engineering talent and further solidify its position as a technology-driven company built on strong human capital.
The program featured sessions where current LG Display researchers shared their career development experiences, while recruitment staff introduced specific roles and responsibilities across various technical fields.
Senior executives, including Chief Technology Officer Choi Young-seok and Head of the Advanced Technology Research Institute Yang Jun-young, attended the event in person to present the company’s technology philosophy and engage in open discussions on the state of Korea’s display industry and career paths for engineering talent.
LG Display has been conducting similar recruitment sessions in major U.S. cities since the first quarter of this year, targeting graduate-level talent in science and engineering fields.
As technological standards across industries continue to rise rapidly alongside evolving market demands, the company said it remains focused on strengthening its talent competitiveness as a core driver of innovation.
