[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Industry observers noted growing interest in the sunglasses, coat, and handbag worn by Daesang Group Vice Chair Im Se-ryung as she attended the commissioning ceremony of her son, Ji-ho Lee (24), who was commissioned as a naval officer.
The ceremony for the 139th class of Navy and Marine Corps officer candidates took place on November 28 at 2 p.m. at the Korea Naval Academy in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province. A total of 89 new officers were commissioned, including 75 in the Navy (18 women) and 14 in the Marine Corps (3 women).
The event drew significant attention as it was attended by prominent members of the Samsung family: Ji-ho’s father, Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong; his mother, Vice Chair Im Se-ryung; Hong Ra-hee, Honorary Director of the Leeum Museum of Art; and Lee Seo-hyun, President of Samsung C&T.
