[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] SEOUL, South Korea — South Korean entertainment continues its global winning streak as the film The Great Flood and the variety show Culinary Class Wars 2 simultaneously conquered the top spots on Netflix’s global charts.

According to Netflix’s official engagement site, Tudum, on the 24th, The Great Flood ranked No. 1 in the Global TOP 10 Movies (Non-English) category for the third week of December (Dec 15–21).

Released worldwide on December 19, The Great Flood is a sci-fi disaster blockbuster that depicts a desperate struggle for survival inside a sinking apartment complex on the last day of Earth following a catastrophic deluge.

Within just three days of its release, the film garnered 27.9 million views (total viewing hours divided by runtime). It secured the No. 1 spot in 54 countries—including South Korea, Spain, Brazil, Qatar, and Thailand—and entered the TOP 10 list in 93 countries, sparking a worldwide sensation.

Significantly, the viewership for The Great Flood surpassed that of the English-language film leader, Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man, making it the overall most-watched film on the platform during this period.
