[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] According to investment banking sources on the 30th, NCSOFT held a site briefing session for the sale of NCSOFT Tower 1 in Samsung-dong, Seoul.
NCSOFT had previously sent out a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the selection of a main sales agent for the sale of NCSOFT Tower 1 on the 24th. Next month, they plan to conduct a competitive presentation (PT) for real estate consulting firms and select a main sales agent.
This move to sell NCSOFT Tower 1 comes just about two weeks after their announcement during the first quarter conference call on the 10th that they would not increase their real estate holdings in the future and would sell NCSOFT Tower 1 to cover the construction costs of the new headquarters scheduled to be completed in 2027. They also mentioned plans to liquidate the Pangyo R&D Center to secure funds.
NCSOFT Tower 1 is located at 509 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. NCSOFT had been using NCSOFT Tower 1 as its primary office since May 2008 until it moved to the Pangyo R&D Center in 2018.
