iPad Pro 13 M5 Listed on Coupang (Online Capture)

[Alpha Biz= Ellie Kim] A pricing error on Coupang led to a high-end Apple tablet being sold at a steep discount, according to an exclusive report by Yonhap News TV.

According to the report on the 28th, the iPad Pro 13 M5 was briefly listed at around KRW 830,000 on the platform on the afternoon of the 27th, compared with its regular price of KRW 2.399 million—roughly one-third of the retail price.

The issue is believed to have stemmed from a temporary error in Coupang’s dynamic pricing system, which automatically matches competitor pricing. The product is currently listed as out of stock after a surge in orders during the brief window.

Many consumers are believed to have successfully purchased the device at the discounted price, with some units already appearing on secondary marketplaces at significantly higher resale prices.

This marks another such incident for Coupang, following previous cases of pricing errors involving food and consumer goods last year.
