[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] The Third Division of Family Affairs at the Seoul Family Court, presided over by Judge Jung Dong-hyuk, held the first hearing today in the divorce lawsuit filed by Mr. Lee's spouse, in a case that has been pending since November 2022, nearly three years ago.

The hearing was conducted in private and began at 5:03 PM, concluding just 12 minutes later. After the hearing, Mr. Lee's legal team spoke with reporters, stating that discussions regarding key issues such as property division contributions had not been specifically addressed.

They mentioned, "We have organized the issues for how to proceed moving forward."Regarding the grounds for divorce, Mr. Lee's team indicated, "It is not possible to disclose the grounds for fault," adding that Chairman Kwon's side is seeking to dismiss the divorce claim by arguing that there are no grounds for fault.

In response to Chairman Kwon's claims that Mr. Lee did not participate substantially in management, Mr. Lee's representatives stated, "His position as CEO is recorded in the corporate registry," asserting, "He owns shares, and that is all verifiable.

"Previously, the court initiated a property appraisal process to evaluate the corporate value of Smilegate Holdings, a non-listed company, which reportedly assessed Chairman Kwon's assets to be worth up to 8.16 trillion KRW.

Mr. Lee claims to be a co-founder of Smilegate and is reportedly demanding half of the shares held by Chairman Kwon in Smilegate Holdings. In conjunction with the divorce lawsuit, Mr. Lee filed for an injunction to prevent the disposal of shares, which the court accepted.
