Kakao Bank obtains international standard certification for open source security ... "First among financial companies"

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Kakao Bank announced on the 23rd that it has obtained an international standard certification for open source security guarantees for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Open Chain Project for the first time among domestic and foreign financial companies.

The Open Chain project is a voluntary consultative body of companies to comply with the license of open source software and manage security vulnerabilities. It was founded in 2016 by the Linux Foundation (Linux Foundation), an American non-profit organization.

Kakao Bank was recognized as a company that complies with the International Standard for Open Source Software Security Management System (ISO/IEC 18974:2023) defined by the OpenChain project.

The international standard is a certification that the open chain project evaluates each company's open source management system in a multifaceted manner and grants it to companies with systematic and consistent open source security management capabilities.

Kakao Bank uses open source software for all financial service development processes.
