[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 7th that it issued won-denominated hybrid capital securities (contingent capital securities) worth 400 billion won.
According to Shinhan Bank, the hybrid capital securities are perpetual bonds that can be repaid in the middle of five years, and the interest rate is 4.63% (fixed).
An official from Shinhan Bank said, “The amount reported for issuance of the initial securities registration statement was 270 billion won, but with the interest and active participation of various institutional investors, the issuance amount was increased to 400 billion won.” It is also meaningful that it succeeded in issuing by adding only the interest rate (based on bp unit).”
