According to the airline industry on the 12th, Korean Air operates 548 times a week on 69 international routes this month. Resumption and expansion of flights will take place around Gimpo-Beijing and Chinese routes such as Incheon-Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Shenzhen and Yanji.
Recently, the number of flights between South Korea and China has been increasing following the South Korean and Chinese governments' agreement to expand flights to the level before COVID-19. On the 26th, European routes such as Incheon, Zurich, and Prague will resume operations three times a week.
Next month, it will fly 622 times a week on 78 international routes. This is 67% compared to 2019.
Operations will be expanded 74 times a week from the previous month, including 11 times a week to the Americas, 20 times a week in Europe and the Middle East, 22 times a week in Southeast Asia and Oceania and 14 times a week in Japan. Flights from Incheon to Madrid, Istanbul, Najang and Brisbane will resume from the 23rd of next month.
Korean Air and Asiana Airlines are planning to speed up the normalization of flights to Europe and the Americas following China and Japan in the first half of this year.
The low-cost carrier (LCC), which has expanded its operations to Japan since last year, plans to focus on resuming and increasing flights to China and Southeast Asia in the first half of this year.
