[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Prosecutors investigating the alleged "virtual currency (virtual asset) listing fee (fee)" have begun to secure additional recruits for working-level employees and brokers on the virtual currency exchange.
According to legal circles on the 6th, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office's Financial Investigation Department 1 (chief prosecutor Lee Seung-hyung) requested an arrest warrant for Kim, a former head of Coinone's listed team, and Hwang, a listed broker, the previous day.
Kim was charged with breach of trust and violation of the Act on the Regulation of concealment of Criminal Proceeds, and Hwang was charged with breach of trust.
Prosecutors believe they exchanged bribes with a request to list "Kimchi Coin" on Coinone.
The questioning of Kim and Hwang before their arrest (investigation to determine a warrant's validity) will be held at the Seoul Southern District Court at 10:30 am on the 10th.
Prosecutors have earlier issued an arrest warrant for former director Jeon, who was in charge of listing at Coinone on charges of breach of trust on the 21st of last month.
In addition, the listed broker, identified only by his surname Ko, was put on trial on July 7 on charges of asking Jeon and Kim to list virtual currency and handing over bribes.
Prosecutors are also expected to indict the former director later this week.
