[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] SK Hynix's labor and management concluded wage negotiations this year. The wage increase rate is set at 4.5% and all employees are paid 1.2 million won as a crisis relief incentive.

According to the industry on the 3rd, SK Hynix's technical full-time (full-time) union passed a tentative agreement on wage negotiations in 2023 agreed upon by labor and management through a vote of representatives. The approval rating is 77 percent.

SK Hynix and its union previously reached a tentative agreement to set a total annual salary increase rate of 4.5% this year and pay retroactively the increase at the time of the quarterly operating profit surplus. This year's wage increase is also expected to be paid retroactively in January next year at the latest.

This year's tentative agreement on wage increases was made with the same content for both full-time and office workers. SK Hynix's wage negotiations are conducted separately for full-time and technical workers, but the office workers passed an agreement last month, but the full-time workers' union rejected it.

Labor and management have since added incentive payments through further negotiations. The management will provide all employees with a special incentive of 1.2 million won.

We decided to give incentives to employees who tried to overcome uncertainties and downturns in the semiconductor industry. The crisis recovery incentive will be paid on the 10th of this month.
