[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kim Chang-han, CEO of Krafton, received a total of KRW 3.276 billion in remuneration in the first half of this year.

According to Krafton's semiannual report on the 11th, CEO Kim Chang-han received 481 million won in salary and 2.795 billion won in bonuses in the first half of this year.

Kim's total salary for the first half of the year was 528 million won last year. It is about five times higher than the same period last year.

Regarding the background of the increase, Crafton explained, "We comprehensively reflected our performance as CEO by quickly reading changes in the market and technological environment, discovering new opportunities and laying the groundwork for the company's long-term growth."

Incentives for last year's performance were based on a comprehensive evaluation of quantitative indicators consisting of operating profit, business performance, and the degree of achievement and contribution to company and organizational tasks.

In addition, the reason for the sharp increase in CEO Kim's bonuses is that he was given a Restricted Stock Unit. In order to maintain talented people, motivate them, and enhance corporate value, Krafton gave 4,200 shares of his own to CEO Kim by a board resolution.

Meanwhile, the average annual salary of 1,709 Krafton employees was 56 million won. The total annual salary is 100 billion won, and the average length of service is 2.4 years.
