Naver has hired Kim Beom-jun, former CEO of Woowa Bros, as chief operating officer.

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Naver announced that it will recruit Bumjun Kim, former Woowa Bros, as Chief Operating Officer (COO, Chief Operating Officer) of Naver. The joining time is January next year.

"We needed more talented people to efficiently manage and operate expanded challenge areas such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), content, B2B (Business-to-Business Transaction), and C2C (Consumer-to-Consumer Transaction)," Naver said. "We have recruited COO nominee Kim Bum-joon, who has various experiences and achievements in technology, service and management, as a member of Team Naver."

COO nominee Kim Bum-joon, a former member of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), has accumulated development experience in various IT companies. From Woowahan Brothers to CTO (Chief Technology Officer) and CEO (CEO), he led the company's technological advancement, new business launch, and business growth. Naver introduced COO nominee Kim as a person who showed outstanding capabilities in development and management.

Naver is expected to create a new synergy through the joining of COO nominee Kim Bum-joon by securing a different experience and business perspective than before.
