Hanwha Ocean raises the average annual salary by 10 million won

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hanwha Ocean will raise the annual salary of office workers by an average of 10 million won.

According to the industry on the 18th, Hanwha Ocean delivered a reorganization plan to its executives and employees that would increase the average annual salary by about 10 million won.

This is interpreted as a measure to have a wage system at the level of competitors HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries. As of the end of last year, the average annual salary of employees at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering was 73 million won, about 10 million won lower than HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (84.7 million won) and Samsung Heavy Industries (83 million won).

After completing the business combination with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Hanwha Ocean has been hiring large-scale workers and improving treatment.

Hanwha Group agreed to pay 300% of its wages to Hanwha Ocean's labor union if it meets its sales target.

In addition, Hanwha Group's long-term reward system is applied as it is. Employees of Hanwha Ocean will be offered a 50% reward for their main salary, 10 don of pure gold, and 3 days of vacation if they have served for more than 10 years. Those who have served for 20 or 30 years will be provided with pure gold, vacation as well as travel gift certificates.

The regulations on executive severance pay have also been changed to treat and pay executives at the level of competitors. It is a method of paying a monthly retirement allowance of three months per year.
