[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Former SM Entertainment producer Lee Soo-man is estimated to have invested 7 billion won in obesity treatment developer "Progen" but is currently losing about 3 billion won.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure on the 22nd, Lee held a 7.23% (1,378,447 shares) stake in Progen. Based on the closing price of Progen (2965 won), it is worth 4 billion won.

Lee bought 501,254 common shares at 3,990 won per share and 877,193 preferred shares at 5,700 won per share before listing on Progen. The total amount of investment is 7 billion won, and the former general manager is currently losing about 3 billion won. His investment performance was not bad from the beginning. Progen's stock price, which was listed on the KONEX market on the 15th, was 5,200 won. However, on the day of listing, it fell 22.88%, and since then, it has recorded a lower limit (15% limit on KONEX price), resulting in loss of evaluation.

Earlier in February, Lee sold his 18.32% stake in SM to HYBE and received about 420 billion won. He invested not only in Progen but also in Pablo Airlines, a company specializing in autonomous community control of unmanned vehicles.

Progen's largest shareholder is Yuhan Corporation (32.96%), and its second largest shareholder is SL Weizen (21.2%).
