[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Police have caught representatives and employees of suppliers who leaked Samsung Display's LCD production management system to Chinese companies.

The security investigation unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency sent a corporation and former representatives of Samsung Display's partner company A, and three former and incumbent employees to the prosecution earlier this month on charges of violating the Industrial Technology Protection Act and the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.

The former CEO of A company is accused of selling Samsung Display's LCD production management system to 10 Chinese companies over 70 times over the years and pocketing about 50 billion won.

Three former and current employees are also accused of attempting to hand over key data needed to manufacture LCDs at the end of 2020.
