[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] A man in his 60s has been arrested after carrying out a stabbing attack at an LG Electronics research complex in Gangseo District, Seoul, injuring two employees, police said on May 27.

According to authorities, the suspect—identified as A—allegedly attacked two male employees in their 40s and 50s with a knife at around 11:18 a.m. inside the facility. Both victims were hospitalized and are reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect was apprehended approximately 40 minutes later at Digital Media City Station while attempting to flee and was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault.

During initial questioning, A stated that he committed the attack out of anger after being notified of his dismissal and claimed he had been mistreated. The victims denied the allegations, stating that any job-related issues had been handled through a subcontractor.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident and are reviewing whether to seek a formal arrest warrant.
