[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Krafton will invest about 200 billion won in Indian game startups. It is the second large-scale investment since 2021.

Krafton India Corporation announced on the 10th (local time) that it will invest 150 million dollars (about 197.7 billion won) in the Indian market over the next two to three years. It is betting on the growth potential of the Indian game, technology, and content industry. In March 2021, Krafton invested $ 140 million (about 185 billion won) in 11 start-ups in India.

Sohn Hyun-il, head of the Crafton Indian subsidiary, said, "We firmly believe in India's potential as a key player in the global game and technology industries. (This investment) shows Crafton's strong will to support this growth."
