[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Won Hee-ryong, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, met with CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Nadhmi A. Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia Neom Company. It is the second of its kind following a meeting in Saudi Arabia in November last year, and it is believed to have taken full-scale steps to help major South Korean companies win orders for large-scale projects related to Neo City.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 24th, Minister Won Hee-ryong had a closed-door meeting with Nadhmi A. Al-Nasr Neom CEO at a hotel in Seoul in the afternoon of the previous day. It has not been confirmed what they discussed, but it is highly likely that they discussed the Saudi Neom City case in detail.

The two met for the first time in Saudi last November. At the time, when Minister Won said, "Samsung and Hyundai should play the role of captain geese (in the Neom City order), but not by the two companies alone," CEO Nadmi reportedly asked for active participation from other Korean companies, mentioning "Korean First" twice.
