[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The recent hiring of domestic airlines has been brisk. LCC (low-cost carrier) and other airlines are aggressively expanding their businesses, including the introduction of new aircraft and the launch of new routes, and are hiring more employees accordingly.

Jeju Air announced on the 17th that it would hire a double-digit cabin crew. This is my third recruitment this year. Jeju Air previously hired more than 100 cabin crew members twice in March and June.

Jin Air, which hired more than 50 crew members in February, plans to hire 120 more this month.

T'way Airlines also hired new and experienced employees in May, and Eastar Jet is also rehiring and hiring new employees.

Korean Air hired more than 100 new crew members in October last year, which is the first time in three years, and has been in the process of hiring 150 more crew members since last month. "The atmosphere for hiring new employees will continue until the second half of the year as some employees have left the company during the Corona period and expect air demand to increase further in the second half of the year," an official from the aviation industry said.

Asiana Airlines, on the other hand, is not hiring new employees by myself. There have been no new hires for nearly three and a half years since January 2020, just before the Corona pandemic.

There are reportedly no plans to hire new employees for the rest of this year. The number of employees has also decreased. At the end of the first quarter, 8,248 people left the company, compared with 2019 before the Corona pandemic.
