[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Naver Pay announced on the 6th that Naver Pay's on-site payment amount increased about eight times in November compared to the same period last year.

According to Naver Pay, Naver Pay's on-site payment amount increased about eight times in November compared to the same period last year. The average amount of payments per user has more than quadrupled.

Analysts say the partnership with Samsung Pay was effective. On March 29, Naver Pay linked offline payment with Samsung Pay. It is now possible to make on-site payments through the Naver Pay app at 3 million offline merchants nationwide where Samsung Pay can be paid.

Naver Pay is enjoying the benefits of the 'Pay Alliance' with Samsung Pay. Immediately after the Samsung Pay payment function was linked, the number of new Naver Pay apps reached about 470,000 in April, up 186% from the previous month.

The number of app installations seems to have increased as Samsung Pay-linked on-site payments are available through the Naver Pay app. The Naver Pay app ranked first in the integration of popular apps and games in the Google Play Store in early April and ranked first in the overall app and financial app category for one to two weeks, respectively.
