[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Ko Jin, chairman of the Digital Platform Government Committee, praised Naver's $100 million Saudi digital twin platform construction project as the "Diple Jung No. 1 export project."
Chairman Goh said in a greeting before the start of the plenary session of the fourth committee held at the Seoul Government Complex later in the day, "In a one-team project led by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, private companies and government public organizations gathered to create exports as a team."
Naver said it has won a project to build five Saudi Arabian cities as digital twin platforms over the next five years.
"Naver signed the project as a team with Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corp. (LX) and Korea Water Resources Corp. (K-Water)," he said. "Since the contract was pushed as part of its presidential tour, it would be reasonable to call it the title of export as a digital platform."
"In particular, one of the 121 digital platform government tasks is the establishment and spread of digital twins," he said. "We will make efforts to produce more export results through cooperation with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in the future."
"It has been more than a year since the launch of the Digital Platform Government Committee, but it has been pointed out that there are not many results I can feel," Chairman Koh said. "In fact, the president also said that I will show my proper appearance to the public three years later when I was a candidate, but we will speed up in the future so that we can achieve small results."
