[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and Hyundai Rotem have agreed to cooperate with each other to enter the space mobility business.

KAI announced on the 20th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hyundai Rotem at the 'Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Industry Exhibition (ADEX) 2023' held at Seoul Airport in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province on the 18th.

Through this agreement, KAI and Hyundai Rotem plan to establish a mutual cooperation system for space projectiles and space vehicle development projects.

KAI has selected space mobility as one of the six future projects in preparation for the future space economy era. It is currently preparing to develop a space projectile for space transportation and a space vehicle for multi-purpose missions. KAI has participated in the development of the Korean launch vehicle 'Nuri' since 2014 and has technical know-how in assembly design and process design.
