[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Naver Cloud, along with Samsung Electronics, will commercialize the technology applied to Naver's second office, 1784.

The two companies announced on the 14th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to lead the future intelligence office building business at the Naver Cloud office in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul.

Through this agreement, Naver Cloud will start external sales of technologies and solutions applied to 1784 such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital twin, and robots. 1784 is Naver's new building, which opened last year, and is the world's first robot-friendly building built with the concept of 'Tech Convergence Building'. It is Naver's work space and also a technology test bed that covers all preceding technologies researched and accumulated by Team Naver, including robots, autonomous driving, joint 5G, and cloud.

Samsung Electronics aims to realize smart 'Calm-Tech' for devices, solutions and service integration offerings that link and efficiently manage internal and external solutions and services with all devices in office buildings. It is planning to introduce specialized package products for integrated offerings for B2B customers by linking the latest technologies such as SmartThings and 5G, which connect various products owned by Samsung Electronics, with Team Naver's own solutions applied to Naver 1784.

Starting with this partnership, the two companies will launch a working group to commercialize and jointly operate specialized packages for B2B customers and further strengthen cooperation. After shipping solutions to domestic office buildings, the company plans to gradually integrate them into overseas markets based on success stories.
