[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Foreign investors are showing great interest by buying Doosan Enerbility stocks day after day. It is a diagnosis that investor sentiment is gathering as expectations for nuclear power plant orders in the second half of the year rise.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 14th, foreigners bought 238 billion won worth of Doosan Enerbility shares this month. During the same period, it ranks third in net buying among the KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets. It has continued its buying advantage for the past nine consecutive trading days.
This is the most active buying trend this year. Foreigners sold 83.4 billion won worth of Doosan Enerbility shares last month. From the beginning of the year to May, foreigners' net purchases amounted to only 56 billion won. It is a quarter of this month's net purchase.
Stock prices are also rising due to love calls from foreigners. This month, Doosan Enerbility rose 16.60% from 16,080 won to 18,750 won. Considering that the increase was 21.75% at the beginning of the year, most of the increase was made this month.
Analysts say that the fact that orders for nuclear power plants are expected to continue in earnest from the second half of this year is the background of attracting foreigners. Doosan Enerbility recorded 4.3049 trillion won in orders as of the first quarter and achieved half of this year's target of 8.6 trillion won, which is why expectations are even higher.
