The FTC has launched an on-site investigation into Ottogi and Guangdong Pharmaceutical on charges of unfair internal transactions

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The Fair Trade Commission has launched an investigation into allegations of unfair support by mid-sized companies such as Ottogi and Kwangdong Pharmaceutical.

According to the industry, the FTC sent investigators to Ottogi and Guangdong Pharmaceutical on the 14th.

The FTC is said to have detected allegations of unfair support from a number of groups as a result of monitoring the status of internal transactions by mid-sized business groups.

Mid-sized business groups have lax external monitoring and a higher proportion of the total family members within the board of directors than large business groups with assets of 5 trillion won or more.
