[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Doosan Robotics' cooperative robot is working on checking the status of Hyundai Ionic 5.

Doosan Robotics (454910)'s cooperative robot is being put into Hyundai Motor Group's new electric vehicle production process for the first time, increasing the number of suppliers in the front industry.

Doosan Robotics' cooperative robot will be applied to the process at the Hyundai Motor Group Global Innovation Center (HMGICS), which Hyundai Motor Group completed in Singapore. Hyundai Motor is greatly expanding into the type of robots used in the process by folding the existing conveyor belt production method in Singapore and introducing a new "Cell" production method, which is a team of a worker and a robot.

It is predicted that heavy industrial robots that are used on conveyor belts and cannot be accessed by humans will be reduced, and cooperative robots that work with people will penetrate electric vehicle factories in earnest, and the robot industry ecosystem will become more diverse.

According to Seoul Economic Daily on the 29th, Doosan Robotics has started supplying cooperative robots to Hyundai Motor's Singapore Global Innovation Center. This is the first time Doosan Robotics' cooperative robot is included in Hyundai Motor Group's electric vehicle production process.

Doosan Robotics' cooperative robot is responsible for automatic intensive testing of electronic components at the plant. Hyundai Motor has introduced robots from Doosan Robotics and Universal Robot, Denmark's world's No. 1 cooperative robot maker, to produce cars.
