[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] CJ Logistics is accelerating its expansion into the North American cold chain logistics market by constructing a large-scale cold chain logistics center in the United States.

On the 19th, CJ Logistics announced that it will build a cold chain logistics center specialized in refrigerated and frozen product logistics in the New Century area. This center, covering an area of 8,178 square meters, equivalent to four soccer fields, is scheduled to begin operations in the third quarter of 2025.

Once this cold chain logistics center is fully operational, transportation to 85% of regions across the United States can be completed within two days. Located within 6 kilometers of the center, there is a highway, and within 20 kilometers, there is the Continental Divide Line of BNSF, a large freight railway company in the United States, allowing convenient long-distance transportation by rail.

In addition to New Century, CJ Logistics is actively expanding its cold chain logistics business. A cold chain logistics center with an area of about 25,000 square meters is being constructed in Gainesville, Georgia, United States, and is expected to start full-scale operations later this year. In March, CJ Logistics participated in the MODEX 2024, a world-class logistics industry exhibition held in the United States, where it extensively introduced its cold chain logistics services.
