[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] SEOUL, June 16 — Lotte ON, the e-commerce platform of Lotte Shopping, has launched a voluntary retirement program for employees as part of ongoing efforts to improve profitability.
According to industry sources on June 14, Lotte ON announced the program to employees the same day, marking its first such measure in about two years since its previous voluntary retirement round in 2024.
The program targets employees with at least three years of service, with applications open through the end of this month.
Employees approved through internal review will receive a lump-sum payment equivalent to up to 12 months of salary upon departure. In addition, the company will provide education support of 10 million won per college-enrolled child.
Launched in 2020 as an integrated online shopping platform, Lotte ON reported revenue of 27.2 billion won and an operating loss of 5.8 billion won in the first quarter of this year. While revenue declined slightly, the operating loss narrowed by 2.7 billion won compared to a year earlier.
The company is currently restructuring its business with a focus on fashion and beauty categories while continuing efforts to enhance profitability.
