[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] SEOUL, June 1, 2026 — Samyang Group has agreed to acquire Soda Aromatic, one of Japan’s leading flavor and fragrance firms, as part of its strategy to strengthen its global specialty chemicals portfolio.

The acquisition will be carried out through Samyang’s Japanese subsidiary, which will purchase a 100% stake in Soda Aromatic from Doremii and Mitsui & Co. for approximately JPY 41 billion (KRW 390 billion).

The deal is expected to close between late June and early July, pending regulatory approvals and completion of necessary procedures.

Founded in 1951 and headquartered in Tokyo, Soda Aromatic specializes in flavors and fragrances used in food, beverages, perfumes, and cosmetics.
