[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] HD Hyundai recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Palantir at its Palantir office in Washington, D.C. on the 14th.

Palantir is an American defense AI (artificial intelligence) company with major customers such as the US Department of Defense, Navy, and the Army.

Under the agreement, the two companies plan to develop reconnaissance USVs that can lead the global market by 2026, and then expand their development into combat USVs.

To this end, the two companies will combine autonomous navigation software of Adobes, HD Hyundai's autonomous navigation company, with Palantir's mission autonomy (AI-based mission autonomy). HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also integrates advanced equipment and systems to be installed and is responsible for developing high-performance hulls.
