[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong is touring major regions in the United States this month to explore growth opportunities for the group's subsidiaries. He plans to meet with representatives from semiconductor, information technology (IT), and telecommunications companies during his visit. The Chairman aims to strengthen cooperation with key Samsung Electronics customers in the United States through these meetings.

According to Samsung Electronics, on the 4th (local time), Chairman Lee met with Hans Vestberg, CEO of Verizon, in New York to discuss collaboration opportunities in next-generation communication technologies and product sales.

Specifically, they discussed topics such as utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in technology and services, future prospects of next-generation communication technologies, strategies to enhance customer value through technological innovation, expanding cooperation in the Android ecosystem targeting Verizon customers, and increasing sales collaboration for new Galaxy products in the latter half of the year.
 

Chairman Lee plans to visit New York, Washington DC, Silicon Valley, and complete over 30 schedules during his visit.
