[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Fintech security group Aton announced on the 21st that it has signed a contract with Shinhan Investment Corp to supply its private certificate solution (ATON-mPKI) in a cloud environment.
This solution supply is part of Shinhan Investment Corp's large-scale transition to a cloud-based service for all its offerings, known as 'Project Meta'. By implementing the private certificate solution in Shinhan Investment Corp's cloud environment, Aton aims to significantly enhance the security and convenience of the electronic signing process for users accessing Shinhan Investment Corp's services.
Users of Shinhan Investment Corp's mobile trading system (MTS) 'Shinhan SOL Securities' will be able to safely and conveniently perform various authentications required for key financial processes, such as login, withdrawals, and transactions, using Aton's solution. Additionally, the solution supports mobile electronic signatures and abbreviated signatures via QR codes on web pages.
ATON-mPKI, developed by Aton as the first software-based security medium in Korea, manages certificates to fundamentally prevent theft or duplication. All financial transactions can be conducted with just a PIN number, pattern, fingerprint, or facial recognition, without any additional authentication methods. Following the adoption of Aton's secondary authentication method, ATON-mOTP (mobile OTP), Shinhan Investment Corp has now also adopted this private certificate solution.
