[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Park Jung-rim, former president of KB Securities, was appointed as an outside director of SK Securities.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure on the 6th, SK Securities announced that it held an executive candidate recommendation committee and decided to submit a bill to appoint Park as a new outside director to a regular shareholders' meeting on the 25th. In addition, Choi Nam-soo, a professor at Seojeong University who served as president of YTN, was also nominated as an outside director.
Park joined KB Securities in 2017 after serving as vice president of KB Kookmin Bank. He became the first female CEO of the domestic securities industry in 2019 when she became the CEO of KB Securities.
However, he resigned at the end of last year after being severely punished by the Financial Services Commission regarding the Lime Fund scandal. Currently, Park is in the process of filing a lawsuit against the Financial Services Commission to cancel his duties.
