[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hundreds of employees have moved from Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix to Micron Technology of the United States.

According to Maeil Business Newspaper on November 11, about 110 employees of SK Hynix moved to Micron. Including employees who have not registered for LinkedIn or have hidden their profiles, there are likely to be more employees who have moved to Micron. Dozens of researchers at Samsung Electronics are also known to have moved to Micron. Adding local recruiters to this, the number of new employees is expected to be significant.

Micron, the world's third-largest, is chasing K-semiconductors at a fierce pace. Recently, the company has skipped fourth-generation products (HBM3s) and started mass-producing fifth-generation products (HBM3Es). On top of that, Micron's alert is growing as a former ban on former SK Hynix researcher A, who became a Micron executive, was cited.

Mr. A is a key figure in the design of SK Hynix HBM. It played a crucial role in securing 3D lamination HBM source technology and participated in the development of Double Data Rate (DDR) 5 prototype. SK Hynix also contributed to the development of HBM2E for the first time and received an industrial package from the government. B, a former member of Samsung Electronics, also moved to Micron.
