[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The labor union of Samsung Group, an integrated labor union encompassing the labor unions of four affiliates of Samsung Group, was officially launched on the 19th.

The labor union of super companies held a launching ceremony at a conference room near Gangnam Station in Seoul and declared its official launch. Four unions, Samsung Electronics' DX (device experience) union, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's ribbon union, Samsung Display's open union and Samsung BioLogics' win-win union, will participate in the event. The recently launched Samsung Electro-Mechanics Respect Union has not yet officially joined, but has decided to join in May after completing the change of protocol.

In the meantime, unions of Samsung affiliates have often joined forces, but this is the first time that an integrated union has been established, not in the form of solidarity.

Currently, there are a total of 15,800 union members of super enterprises. By branch, there are 6,100 Samsung Electronics' DX branch, 4,100 Samsung Display's open branch, 3,400 Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's ribbon branch and 2,200 Samsung BioLogics' win-win branch. Including 2,100 members of the Samsung Electro-Mechanics Respect Union, which is scheduled to join, there are a total of 17,900 members.
