[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul – An executive at Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation (GH) has been found to have engaged in repeated misconduct, including the private use of a company car and poor attendance, according to a recent audit by the Gyeonggi Provincial Audit Committee. Disciplinary action has been formally recommended.

According to reports by Yonhap News on September 8, the audit revealed that the executive, identified as Director A, committed 126 violations between August 2023 and May 2024. The infractions included:

17 cases of private use of a corporate vehicle on weekends

101 cases of unauthorized absences or leaving the workplace without notice

8 cases of improper or excessive use of business expenses

A representative from the GH labor union stated: “As a senior official responsible for personnel and attendance management, Director A should set an example. Given that more than 120 instances of misconduct were identified, we believe he is unfit to continue in his position.”

The GH Board of Directors is scheduled to convene on September 15 to decide on the level of disciplinary action against the executive.
