[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Leading South Korean cosmetics companies, which have fueled the global K-beauty boom, are set to showcase their technological prowess at CES 2026, the world’s largest IT and consumer electronics exhibition, to further strengthen their presence in global markets.
According to industry sources on January 5, APR will participate in CES 2026, held in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9, marking its third consecutive appearance. The company will operate its largest-ever booth, featuring Mediheal’s skincare products such as skin pads and capsule creams, alongside beauty devices including AGE-R’s Booster Pro, with hands-on experience and consultation zones.
Amorepacific will present its award-winning “Skinsight” technology, a beauty-tech platform developed jointly with researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The solution analyzes skin aging factors in real time and provides personalized skincare recommendations. Amorepacific has won CES Innovation Awards for seven consecutive years.
LG Household & Health Care, which received its first-ever CES Innovation Award in the beauty-tech category for its LED-based “Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch,” will not operate a booth at the event.
Korean ODM manufacturers are also gaining attention. Kolmar Korea will exhibit its CES Innovation Award-winning “scar beauty device,” which uses artificial intelligence to diagnose skin wounds and automatically dispense medication before concealing scars with customized makeup. Cosmax, another major ODM player, earned a CES 2026 Innovation Award for a personalized multi-device capable of producing skincare, foundation, and liquid lip products from a single system, though it will not run a standalone booth.
CES is organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). Of the 284 companies selected as CES 2026 Innovation Award winners, announced in early November last year, 60% were Korean firms. The South Korean government plans to operate its largest-ever national pavilion to support small and medium-sized enterprises and promising startups.
