[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Delivery drivers affiliated with the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions’ Cargo Truckers Solidarity Division are set to launch a full-scale strike on April 7 against BGF Logistics, raising concerns over disruptions to CU store operations.

According to industry sources on April 6, unionized drivers under the CU branch plan to begin an indefinite strike, with some already refusing deliveries and blocking access to logistics centers. Drivers have also been urged to reject dispatch assignments related to BGF operations.

The drivers, classified as special employment workers hired by transport contractors, are demanding direct negotiations with BGF.

BGF Retail notified store owners that delivery disruptions are expected, citing blocked logistics centers and difficulties in dispatching vehicles.

The strike is likely to cause temporary supply chain disruptions across CU convenience store locations nationwide.
