[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] On July 11th, according to the Doosan Group, Doosan Enerbility, Doosan Bobcat, and Doosan Robotics each held board meetings and decided on a series of actions involving division, merger, and comprehensive stock exchange.

The restructuring of the business focuses on the smart machine sector, where the Doosan Group is consolidating its capabilities. This involves the integration of Doosan Bobcat, a key player in the small construction equipment market, and Doosan Robotics, a leader in the collaborative robot market. Doosan Bobcat, a subsidiary of Doosan Enerbility, will undergo a corporate division and merge with Doosan Robotics, becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Doosan Robotics.

Currently, Doosan Enerbility holds a 46% stake in Doosan Bobcat. The remaining 54% will be secured through a comprehensive stock exchange, involving the issuance of new shares of Doosan Robotics or exchanging shares for a proposed amount. However, the contract will be terminated if the scale of stock buyback rights exercised by Doosan Robotics' shareholders exceeds 500 billion KRW, or if the scale of stock buyback rights exercised by Doosan Bobcat's shareholders exceeds 1.5 trillion KRW.
