[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] The recent fallout from the T-Mon and Wemakeprice situation has led to the suspension of Gifticon transactions for brands like Bonjuk and Hollys Coffee on KakaoTalk's gifting service. To protect consumers, KakaoTalk has announced that it will offer a 100% cash refund for the affected Gifticons.

As of August 20, Kakao has suspended the sale of Gifticons issued by M12 on its platform, including those for certain franchise brands like Bonjuk and Hollys Coffee, since August 16.

Users who have already received these Gifticons are seeing the message "Product under inspection" on their screens, making them unusable, and new purchases are currently not possible.

Kakao has suspended these transactions as a precautionary measure but has indicated that sales may resume if M12 resolves its liquidity issues.
