[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] BGF Retail Introduces 'Six-Day Workweek' for Executives at CU Convenience Stores

According to industry sources on the 18th, BGF Retail has implemented a six-day workweek policy for its executives, starting from the 13th of this month. This move marks the first instance of such a policy in the retail industry. The six-day workweek applies only to executives, while regular employees continue under the existing five-day workweek.

Executives are reported to conduct 'Saturday meetings' after coming to work on Saturdays, where they freely discuss key agendas. A BGF Retail spokesperson explained, "In response to the opaque retail environment and rapidly changing trends, we aim to enhance product competitiveness and discuss key agendas among executives without formalities."
