[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Taihan Cable & Solution has strongly rebutted allegations from LS Cable & System regarding the alleged theft of submarine cable technology, asserting that they constructed their factory using their own technological capabilities without any misappropriation of LS Cable's trade secrets.

In their statement released on the 15th regarding the technology theft allegations, Taihan Cable & Solution clarified, "The layout of submarine cable factories does not constitute core technology, and Taihan Cable & Solution has neither misappropriated nor utilized LS Cable & System's trade secrets."

On the 11th, the police transitioned Daehan Cable to a suspect under the Act on Prevention of Unfair Competition and Protection of Trade Secrets, and conducted a search and seizure at their headquarters. In response, LS Cable & System stated that Taihan Cable & Solution's alleged technology theft constitutes a clear criminal act, and they will take all necessary legal actions domestically and internationally if proven true.

Taihan Cable & Solution countered, stating, "Linear cable products progress through processes from the core (conductor) to the exterior (insulation and sheathing), and similarly, the layout of submarine cable facilities follows this sequence." They further argued, "Decisions regarding production capabilities, factory site characteristics, size, and dock locations determine layout, making factory equipment layout not a core technology."

The company emphasized their commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with legal standards, affirming their stance against any accusations of intellectual property infringement.
