[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] The unpaid settlement amount by Wemakeprice and TMON to their sellers has been finalized at 1.3 trillion KRW. The government, during a task force (TF) meeting held at the Government Complex Seoul on the 23rd, confirmed this final amount and discussed the smooth support of a 1.6 trillion KRW liquidity provision.

Of the 1.3 trillion KRW in unpaid settlements, about 90% of the affected sellers were those owed less than 10 million KRW. However, in terms of total amount, 88% of the unpaid funds belonged to 981 companies, each owed more than 100 million KRW.

To support the affected businesses, the government plans to supplement the liquidity provision measures, which amount to a total of 1.6 trillion KRW. As of August 21, the cumulative amount approved for financial support from various organizations, including the Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC), the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KCGF), and the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), reached 35 billion KRW.

The government aims to expedite the disbursement of these funds and implement measures such as lowering interest rates to ease the financial burden on the affected businesses.
