[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung SDS is collaborating with Microsoft to introduce a cloud-based platform called "FabricX," designed to seamlessly integrate generative AI into corporate systems. This platform will be launched globally, potentially as early as next month.

During the keynote speech at the "Real Summit 2024" held in Seoul's COEX on the 3rd, Samsung SDS CEO Hwang Sung-woo announced, "We are preparing to offer FabricX as a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) on Microsoft's Azure cloud service. We plan to launch Azure-based FabricX worldwide, including in the U.S., as early as next month."

Microsoft Azure is one of the top three global cloud services, alongside Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud. Koo Hyung-jun, head of the Cloud Service Business Division, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, describing it as "a stepping stone for our expansion into the global market."

Samsung SDS also unveiled new advanced features of its generative AI tool, "Brity Copilot," which was introduced last April. The new "Personal Agent" feature acts as a virtual assistant, managing key schedules, providing task recommendations based on priority, and offering real-time multilingual translation for video conferences.
